Separate Order Status

Hey Guys

 

I am wanting to create a separate status table on the orders.php page. Our company is made up of 2 different suppliers and we want to be able to change this separate status from pending to charged by .... , so we can mark of what has been charged by our supplier and what hasnt. any ideas? even a module that is familiar to this would be great :)

any ideas?

yes, I know how exactly can't be done:

1) you need to do validation - who is updating the status

2) Using validation you can add extra information about who updated status of the order and you don't need to have extra tables, as you can do easily with the original table, as mysql tables can be modified.
