Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has seen a shipping allowance contribution? I have looked though the contributions, but may have missed one.

Thanks JR

JR,

Can you define 'shipping allowance'? I am not sure we understand what you are looking for.

If this is some kind of discount on shipping costs, based on some criteria (value of order, total cost of shipping, past purchase history, past returns, etc.), I don't think there's an add-on that does exactly that. However, looking for shipping discount, I see a number of "free" or "discount" shipping modules that might be modified to do what you want. I didn't look at combined shipping -- you might look there, too. My guess is that you're looking to either give a reduction on shipping costs on larger/bulk/combined orders, or reimburse a customer for past overcharges or for return shipping charges. The former might be doable by modifying one of the free/discount shipping add-ons; the latter might be best handled as a manual credit entry or special coupon at payment time. Perhaps if you could elaborate and give an example or two of what you're looking for? Maybe it's a matter of terminology.

Hello,

Sorry, I will try to give a better example. Say customer orders $100.00 worth of product, no shipping discount. One orders $150.00, there is a 3% discount on shipping, $200.00 order, 5% shipping discount, and so on.

Thanks JR

JR,

To the best of my knowledge, there is not currently a contribution that specifically does that. However, if you are looking to boost sales based on quantity purchases, you could use Quantity Price Breaks
