Guest Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Ok im runnin the M1 with safe mode off so that why i get the error: Warning: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 504 is not allowed to access /tmp/sess_b1504497a44daffc8050b79b737141c2 owned by uid 48 in /home/admin/bla/bla/bla/whos_online.php on line 106 Warning: file("/tmp/sess_b1504497a44daffc8050b79b737141c2") - Success in /home/admin/bla/bla/bla/whos_online.php on line 106 Warning: Bad arguments to implode() in /home/admin/bla/bla/bla/whos_online.php on line 107 Im also using the whos_online v1.0 contribution for the catalog side. My question for the admin and catalog sides: Why even for registered users does it display them as guests too? Also, 2 things i cant do that may result in why the whos online shows everyone as guests: 1) I want safe mode to stay turned ON my server for stronger security. 2) Ive read storing sessions in mysql is no good and might run you into problems. With that said here is my final question: Has anyone have a solution, know of a fix or know why whos online shows all as guests? Quote
mattice Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Is that "my" Who's Online? That has not been updated (at least not by me) for MS1 so it might just be the code isn't compatible? Did you try to have the sessions stored WITHIN your web root? That ussually solves a lot of SAFE MODE issues. I've used 'Store sessions in MySQL' on most of the sites I've done, never had problems with it... Guest Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Well ive heard many complaints about storing session in sql so i dunno. Ive tried getting the session files to store somewhere else but couldnt get it to work. Ive also noticed that in the customer id in the whos online sql table remains set to 0 so but elswhere in other tables its set to a higher number resulting for a logged user to have a status as member instead of guest. Guess ill try that storing sessions in mysql thing. Quote

Any chance of a M1 update? Quote
