Shipping tutorials / demos.... NEW USER...

Hi all,

i'm pretty embaressed to be writing this post as I guess a lot of people will roll their eyes and just ask me to look harder.

 

Have just started to use OS Commerce and am now looking at the shipping part. I have not found a place that desceibes the fundamentals of shipping and its terminology :(

 

I do know what I want to achieve but don't know how to go about learning how to do it.

 

OK, seeing as I've started to write the post I will explain a little more...

 

Basically im setting up a store for a ski / snowboardd retailer where the products could be grouped into similar weights.

 

Group 1

Snowboads & Skis

 

Group 2

Boots, bindings,

 

Group 3

outdoor Jackets, pants

 

Group 4

Gloves, goggles etc

 

I devised this little table below...

 

 

It would be great to get some advice on if this sounds like a good method to employ and if so, any links / terminology that I should be looking for to get to the end of this.

Download and install Multigeozone Multitable Shippingand configure it as needed.
