Image manager slow

Hi all guys, i'm new so this is my first post :) Well, i have an oscommerce with a small problem: when i need to insert a new product image i wait 5, 10, 15 minutes for file listing and uploading. Let's me explain: my store is about stamps, we have 10.000+ stamps and so 10K+ photos, so i can understand that request via PHP from directory of images can be slow, but i need a solution right now, is there some cache system that i can use to get this list cached? substituting the image manager with an other one? Any suggestion :) Thanks!! Stefano

Try using Easy Populate to upload data to the database and then use an FTP program to load the images to the /images directory.
