Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

I am SO glad to be using RC2.2 I've been around here since '04 and I remember every time I set up OSC it wouldn't work out of the box and you had to go change 5 or 6 different files just to get it online. The latest release is just fantastic. I was going to look into themes tonight just for kicks, so these theme templates are reconfiguring back to the old setup? I need to go look at what is involved in a theme.

RC2.2a

I have just run into a similar issue.

My old site was running os commerce with a template from template monster.

I changed hosts and an rebuilding from scratch with rc2.2a

the instructions from template monster are to just upload the entire folder and the template is installed. However the template is welded into an older version of OSC and brings up the same register_globals variable issue the originator of this post is having.

Its too bad the look and feel of OSC is part of the structure of the product, and thus a simple template pack can't be just uploaded

Not all templates are made in that way. TM templates are !
