multimixer Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 You paid for a old and outdated version of osCommerce. I hope it was not much ! My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel
lextech Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I am SO glad to be using RC2.2 I've been around here since '04 and I remember every time I set up OSC it wouldn't work out of the box and you had to go change 5 or 6 different files just to get it online. The latest release is just fantastic. I was going to look into themes tonight just for kicks, so these theme templates are reconfiguring back to the old setup? I need to go look at what is involved in a theme. RC2.2a
Binkmaster1973 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I have just run into a similar issue. My old site was running os commerce with a template from template monster. I changed hosts and an rebuilding from scratch with rc2.2a the instructions from template monster are to just upload the entire folder and the template is installed. However the template is welded into an older version of OSC and brings up the same register_globals variable issue the originator of this post is having. Its too bad the look and feel of OSC is part of the structure of the product, and thus a simple template pack can't be just uploaded
