Same order: Skipjack correctly charges $18.44 while PayPal Payflow charges $12.26 !

We are switching payment processing from Skipjack to Paypal Payflow Pro and are having an odd problem.

 

Skipjack processes this order correctly:

 

+ sales amount .................... 2.25

+ shipping ........................ 9.83

+ low order fee ................... 5.00

+ tax on all three items .......... 1.37

= total amount charged ........... 18.44

 

However, in PayPal we get

 

+ sales amount .................... 2.25

+ tax on sales amount only ........ 0.18

+ shipping ........................ 9.83

= total amount charged ........... 12.26

 

So there's no tax on shipping and the low order fee has been ignored. However, the order confirmation emailed to the customer has all the correct info and a total invoiced amount of $18.44 while PayPal has taken $12.25 only, of course!

 

I made no other changes to the store, the only thing I do is enable either Skipjack or PayPal Payflow Pro and every time I switch the modules I get the same results.

 

Any ideas? I posted this in the PayPal Payflow forum and had no response; others seem to have the same problem, again without a solution as the developer seems to have disappeared.

 

We would use the official PayPal module if we didn't have an insanely modded store and I can't see how we could integrate it.
