Hello Jack,

I am not familiar with corn jobs te periodically check the status of a website, but this contribution (ContributionTracker: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/4815) offers an alternative: a site monitoring service, for example Uptime (http://uptime.openacs.org/uptime/).

Is it possible to use a site monitoring service for SiteMonitor as well? If not, what changes should I implement to make it work?

Best regards,

Dennis

The contribution installation instructions explain command that needs to used and the changes you need to make it work for your site.

Try looking in your isp's control panel and you will find icons to click that will allow you to set up a cron job.

Their help desk will also normally help you if you get stuck.
