Peper Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Hi everyone Seeking your 5 cents I've spend a huge amount of time getting my shop secured, modified and appealing as possible Would it be recommended at the end of the day to change over to V3 or what would make V3 better than rc2a? The only contrib I never being able to get to work properly is to use a template system with pcpro contribution - just stuff up the display completely My site is however successful at this early stages promising more to come and don't want to mess things up as it is Getting the Phoenix off the ground
Mark Evans Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Would it be recommended at the end of the day to change over to V3 or what would make V3 better than rc2a? V3 isn't stable yet so isn't ready to be used for live sites unless you have some really good PHP knowledge and are happy to merge in loads of changes. The next version to be released is v2.3, this is being actively worked on and has quite a few improvements over 2.2 Mark Evans osCommerce Monkey & Lead Guitarist for "Sparky + the Monkeys" (Album on sale in all good record shops) --------------------------------------- Software is like sex: It's better when it's free. Peper Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 You mean, you haven't gotten any of the security contributions to work? LOL, security is always a concern and have added couple of addons in that area - least of concern thanks to the members here I'm not too good with designing the template story thingy - templates that comes with addons is nice but I need full page display - getting 1 printer to display is no problem, lets put a couple of printers into 1 page and then see the difference - all about display Getting the Phoenix off the ground
