Shopping Cart link does not work

Many of my customers have brought this to my notice that when they click on the shopping cart link on top of the page, instead of the cart contents, the index page opens up.

 

Kindly see it for yourself...

click on the shopping cart link and the index page will open up. Kindly someone tell me how to fix this.

I have taken a quick look. I suggest that you look to see where the link is pointing in your code. I dont think that there is a link to your shopping cart page. I may be wrong.
