Quick Install Guide for Wamp on PC (needed on PC to learn OSC)

I have successfully downloaded and installed Wamp Server. I have been reading through various forums (both here and elsewhere in the web) and cannot find a step by step explanation of the installation of OSC for a local PC – Windows XP (I need to install OSC on my PC so I can experiment and lean how to apply the package in its various forms). Some forums state to install OSC in the Wamp directory, others elsewhere. But no where is there a step by step explanation which goes through each step and explains what I should be seeing (or not seeing) at each stage of the installation. Much appreciated if someone could point me in the right direction (link to a good explanation or take the trouble to set out the installation process). Thanks in advance. :blush:

I have not seen one for osCommerce but I have used one for a branch of osCommerce - osCmax.

 

They have a step-by-step guide in their wiki -

I have always thought it to be a mistake....something is always different on wamp as it is on lamp.
