Can the Update function be called when checkout button is pr

Hi all,

 

I have found that the main query I get on my site is that "I can only put 1 of each item in my basket"

 

Many people miss the "Update" button! Is it possible to call the update function, and then continue with the requested action, when the user presses Continue or Checkout?

 

I am a programmer, but not in PHP, so I will understand the technicalities but will have to be pushed in the right direction with the coding!

 

I believe this would be a useful contribution in it's own right.
