VilBaz Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Hi. I've just set my site on-line. I've spent a couple of month building it. Here is my problem: I get no raking when I search for some of my products on Google, so I did a bit of reading. As fare as I understand, I should install a Add-on called Google XML sitemap. So I went looking for one and this is the one I found: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/3233 . It looks pretty simple, just the way I like it. But there is one problem: It doesn't say where to upload the file. Where do I upload it to? And what effect will it have on my site? I've installed KissMT Dynamic SEO Meta & Canonical Header Tags and that is working great, and that was really simple to install. Or is there any other way to get my site to rank on Google? It's gotta be simple. I'm new at this.

Search the forum for posts on the subject there are many great bits of info on here about it and far more info than i can give you now. VilBaz Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 I did search the forum and I know it takes time. But if I can help it along, it would be great. However it didn't answer my question: Where do I install this add-on Google XML Sitemap Feed( http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/3233 ) And what effect will it have?
FIMBLE Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 install help should be within the package, you might have to search the add on for a complete package rather than an update then add the updates. Site map is just that, it creates a site map of your store for google you need to set up google site maps in your google account. http://www.google.com/webmasters/ Hope this Helps Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
