I have to spend hours, even days uploading images from my distributer to my site. Then other hours or days changing their URL (http://www.their_site.com/images.whatever.jpg) to my URL (http://www.my_site.com/images.whatever.jpg).

What I want is for my Easy Populate to read their URL, and reach out to their site and pull the images into my image folder.

They do it on Google Base, Ebay, ioffer.com, and many other sites I've deal through. So I know it can be done.

Anyone know how to set up my osCommerce to do this?

I might can help with half of your question.

if the image urls are in your spreadsheet, you can do a find-replace function. replace the / and everything before it with nothing. use this as the find */ and leave the replace box empty.

You may have to click replace more than once if the url is deeper than one folder.

It is a feature on the Edit menu of MS Excel and probably all other spreadsheet programs. Click Edit, then Replace. Play around with it.

In the meantime, what format is your feed from your supplier?

Community Bootstrap Edition, Edge

.csv or .txt, I can download eighter, and save as the other if I choose.

They also supply an XML file, that will keep my site updated automatic, but I have no ideal how to set my up to receive it.

I have never messed with the replace icon on my spread-sheet. I consider myself the type of person that no will accuse of being very smart, so I just stay with the simple things.

Thanks
