Paypal Installation (enable mysql extension in php.ini)

I am going through the paypal installation instructions for oscommerce. (paypal pro version) I followed paypals link and I downloaded osc_PayPal_v177.zip

 

I am on the instructions that say:

turn on register_globals and enable the MySQL extension in php.ini, at a minimum.

 

I do have register globals "on" in the php.ini, but am not sure what to do with the "enable the mysql extension in php.ini".

 

How do I do that?

You said you downloaded the 177 version. the latest version is 180a. it can be found on this site. Paypal is still offering the incorrect version. I notified them of that fact last week.
