GwilliamP Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I have been experiencing this for a while. Some orders get deducted from stock, some do not. As some of our products have low stock quantities this can cause problems with customers purchasing zero stock items on occasions. I have not been able to establish a pattern to this. At a guess I would say up to 50% of orders are not deducted. My gut feeling says I do not believe the PHP code is to blame. My guess is the hosts SQL server but am at a loss as to how I can test/prove where the fault is. Currently we are having to stock check every item purchased and adjust as we pick! My thought would be to modify the Order Process email to include the stock quantity of each product after it has been processed. Combine that with an Easy Populate download after each order and compare the purchased product stock values with the pre/post inventories. My coding is not too good so any suggestions on how to achieve the modification to the Order Process message would be truly appreciated. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or better suggestions for fault finding? Thanks, Paul.
