CartersPlants Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 I'm looking for a new webhost, cause the one I currently use doesn't support SSL. I found a potential one but it limited my MySQL database to 100mb. Considering my pictures alone are 200kb each that could run out of room extremely fast. How much memory does a store with 200 or so items typically use for the database? Also does anyone have any recommendations on a good webhost, PM me if you aren't allowed to say it here. Thanks so much!

I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. ♥mdtaylorlrim Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I built a large shop of over 17k products that had a lot of traffic, but only 5-10 sales per day (high dollar items) and the db averaged about 55mb. Another with 3500 products and low sales volume (2-3 per week) and the db is 21mb. That probably gives you a fair idea. Community Bootstrap Edition, Edge Avoid the most asked question. Thanks so much! I would look around for a specialist webhosting company, one that does not have a whole lot of silly restrictions in place. This sounds like one of them.
