tharring Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Hi. I've installed the latest OSC-CSSV2.0 and made the updates; everything working fine; then today I installed the STS files, carefully loading the new files in their respective folders and making easy changes to some files. Here is my problem. When I log into my store, at the home page I get: Fatal error: Class 'plcontentBoxHeading' not found in /home/xxxx/public_html/xxxx/shop/includes/modules/new_products.php on line 17. Is this some new style in the STS installation or can I locate it somewhere else in the CSS styles? Does the page new_products.php need to be altered? Also, when I try to go to a products page I get this: Fatal error: Call to a member function add_current_page() on a non-object in /home/xxxx/public_html/xxxxx/shop/includes/application_top.php on line 312 ---which is---- $navigation->add_current_page(); Then, when I login to the admin portion I get this version of admin area shown below, with large headings and no categories to select: "enable" for the sts. Is any of this a bug or have others had this problem with the recent upgrades to the CSS and adding STS? Thanks, - - - - - - P.S. I'm not giving the url of my site because I haven't secured it yet and don't want to until I get eveything working. Then I will for sure, and let you all critique it. Thanks. Quote
bkellum Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 STS was designed for osComemrce version 2.2, RC1, RC2 and RC2a. You are not using either. Quote Bill Kellum Sounds Good Productions STS Tutorials & more: STSv4.6, STS Add-ons (STS Power Pack), STS V4 Forum STS Forum FREE TEMPLATE
tharring Posted October 11, 2010 Author Posted October 11, 2010 The osCommerce version I installed on my hosted server through cPanel says it's (2.2 Release Candidate 2a + buySAFE), so I thought I was using version OSC 2.2RC2a. Then I added the most recent (9/20/10) OSC-CSSV2.0 files to get it to CSS structure . After that I followed the instructions to add the STS files at http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/1524. Doesn't that put me where I need to be to use the STS Templates? Thanks, Tedra Quote
tharring Posted October 11, 2010 Author Posted October 11, 2010 Are you saying I should be using Tableless OSCommerce w/templates uploaded July 1, 2010 instead of the newer version OSC to CSS version 2.0 uploaded Sept. 15, 2010? Please be more specific so I know how to proceed. Thank you, - - - - Quote

Thank you, - - - - No, what I am saying is that the add-on "OSC to CSS" has made so many modifications to the core of osCommerce that it really isn't osCommerce anymore. So, you really can't follow the installation instructions for STS. I haven't had the time to look at that contribution to see what would be needed to make the two compatible but as far as I see it now it would be one or the other but not both. npn2531 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 OSC to CSS v1 and/or 2 is an addon for the stock OSCommerce 2.2a download that change changes the html structure of OSCommerce. Bill Kellum is correct, you need to pick either STS or OSC to CSS. One will not fit over the other as it now stands.
