MrPhil Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Did you get the osC installation from this site? It has nothing in it referring to or needing Dreamweaver. If you got it (such as a template or prepackaged install) from some Third Party, they might have done something to it to require DW -- you'll have to complain to them. Any way you cut it, you should not be using DW for installing and maintaining an osC site. Don't use it for editing or uploading and downloading files -- use a real editor (Vim, Notepad++) and FTP client (FileZilla is the most commonly recommended).
legendstore Posted October 6, 2010 Author Posted October 6, 2010 Trying to install osCommerce on your local PC? Yes and as soon as I try to install up pops the Dreamweaver (which I don't even have) licence screen and yes it was downloaded from here this morning.

It is because the php file extension is set to run Dreamweaver if you click on it. It is a windows thing.... Why are you trying to load it on your PC. Gonna set your PC up as a web server? Just upload the files to a working web server. Password protect the directory while you complete the security updates and get it working right.
