cherishedmoments Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) I have been trying to install Quantity Price Breaks for days. I installed the files that I needed to and changed the other files manually. I screwed everything up (so I thought) so I reverted back to my original files. Then I learned that I just needed to run an SQL file but, at the time, I didn't even know what that meant. I finally figured it out and ran the query....which was successful, so I reinstalled all the files for the add-on but that screwed up the site too. To make a long story short, the more I tried to do, the more I messed it up....so I restored my site from a backup and restored my database. Well, now look at my site! My site It appears normal when it first loads but try to click on an occasion in the left-hand column! Where did my products go and how can I get them back?! They all show up in my admin....just not on the customer's side. I thought that, if I made a full backup (including my SQL database) and restored it, everything would go back to the way it was before I made any changes....but, obviously, something isn't right! Everything was FINE with the site when I backed it up. Please help! Oh, when I restored my files using FTP, everything went over except for one file. It said that the file was not transferred because "Access was denied." but it didn't tell me what file it was. I'm sure that's the file that is causing the problem but, since I'm not psychic, I have no idea what file didn't transfer over! How stupid for any program to say "Access denied" and not tell you what you were denied access to! Real friggin nice! I read a post kind of similar to mine that mentioned the .htaccess files but I don't know what purpose they serve or what content should be inside. The post was hard to understand. Thanks in advance to anyone that can lead me in the right direction! Edited October 6, 2010 by cherishedmoments Quote
cherishedmoments Posted October 6, 2010 Author Posted October 6, 2010 I don't know what the crap I've done! My admin has Quantity Price Breaks fully installed and everything looks like it should. All of my products are there....all my modules are installed....I can even make changes to them (including adding my price breaks to each item). Absolutely nothing wrong in my admin! It's PERFECT!!!! The ONLY problem I have is that you can no longer see my products when you go to my site. Can someone, at least, tell me what file gets my products from my admin and displays them to the customer?! That seems to be my problem! Thanks! Quote

Can you please help? Nevermind! You said to secure my admin. I had done everything else. When I try to change the name of my admin, it will let me. When I try to change the configure.php file, it won't let me make the changes. I'm assuming the a$#@^T$# that hacked me probably made sure I couldn't change it? What do I do? Quote
♥geoffreywalton Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 If the /includes/configure.php or /admin/includes/configure.php is read only you have to chage it so you can write to it, update the file and them reset the file to read only. You can change permissions through your hosts control panel. I swear, I should take notes as I go and write a "Book for Newbies" that explains how to do all this stuff....only it should be in "newbie language". LOL I had no clue what it meant to run a query til a few days ago. Had no clue what it meant! LOL I now have my admin directory named something different and it is password protected!. Darn hackers! I'd love to find a way to pay them back! Quote
ceevk1 Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I've got the same exact problem. In the place where the products would appear i am getting a "..." and the product id in the link is blank.
