Issue with quick search form adding a + sign inbetween words

I have a website at www.impulsecreations.net and there seems to be an issue when people search for some words than use the "recommended link it gives.

 

Example: Search for xmen comics and it says You could also try: x-men comics. When you click the x-men comics it links it looks for products x-men+comics and comes up with no results. If it didn't add the + sign than it would display the correct products. How do I edit this so it does not add that + sign. I have looked in the advanced_search_results.php file but could not find anything that says add a +.

 

If you know were i should be looking or any information on this it would help a lot.

Are you asking about the resulting page URL containing keywords=x-men+comics? That's perfectly normal. URLs cannot have spaces (blanks) in them. Spaces are replaced by either a + or by %20. It still means "x-men comics". Or are you seeing this somewhere else? I didn't see it in the Search entry box or anywhere else on the page itself.
