Multiple stock / warehouse

Greetings.

 

I've been a user of OSC for four years and so far we've sold things only from one location (store1). Pick-up and mail options have been available.

QTPro has also been in use for a while and with it we've been able to keep track of stock quantities etc.

 

Now we're about to open a new store (store2) in a new city. This store would have the same products that are being sold in our webstore. Although the product would be sold from the shelf store2 would have combined stock with our webstore (store1) and per every purchase the store's cashier would make an order to the OSC system. This way we could keep track of the total products in our warehouse.

 

Now I would need a stock with two different locations. If the product is in stock in store2 but there is none left in store1 then it should not be available for order in the webstore/store1, since store2 is only a physical location and will not deliver things by mail etc.

 

Since the cashier will create the order to OSC anyway I'm thinking this could work as "a double stock" that can edited via QTpro and a delivery module that reduces the stock amount of store2 when the order is done.

 

By quick search I dindn't find any contribution that would match these criterias or any other way that I can think of doing this but I figured it's better to ask from here too.

 

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation and created a solution for this? Any other ideas? Anyone dealing with QTPro willing to create this?
