Understanding the create_account.php file

I would like to auto fill the text boxes created by the create account file. It produces a table? and a form? and several text boxes but the code is to complicated for me to understand. I 'am used to something like this; <input name="firstName" type="text" value="a value" />

The code in this file does not look anything like that. What I need to do is assign text content that has been established using a session variable and then that value is put into a local vaiable that I want to be input into say the First Name: text box. I would normall assign the variable to the Value= portion of the text field but it is not clear to me where that is. I know that this is possible because Norton will auto fill the page. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
