Show categories on front page like on sub-pages

I've installed the Categories on Front Page mod but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.

 

I would like to show all categories on the front page in the same style as they do when you go into a main category (eg. http://www.inkandtoners.co.uk/index.php?cPath=1 ). I'm sure there must be a simple way in index.php but cannot work it out.

 

Any help appreciated!
