Guest Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 Hi! I'm transferring an existing store to OSCommerce. I've managed to get most of the conversion stuff written in Perl 5.8, extracting the relevant data out of the old DB, mungling it around, and placing it into the OSCommerce DB (yeah, not recommended, but hey - no option here). The bit I'm currently stuck with is the password converstion. The original DB has plaintext passwords, and although I understand that MD5 is being used along the way, I'm having a bit of a hard time converting the routine that OSCommerce uses to work in Perl - it's been too long since I've worked in Perl! Any suggestions, tips, greatly appreciated. Pete.
