Guest Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Hi all I have the problem that on several places i have a double // behind my webaddress and other things. It looks like this ( from my page source ) : <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="//includes/sts_templates/multiple/stylesheet.css"> and <base href="http://www.mystore.com//"> I have been looking thru my files for a week now but i can´t find anything that points to this. I use UltraEdit for looking at the files and compare them but that doesn´t show me anything. I have Dynamenu and STS installed. I am a noob tho. Many thanks in advance for any help you can give me! Gr, Rob
MrPhil Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Well, most uses of include/... are just like that -- relative to the current directory (e.g., <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="includes/sts_templates/multiple/stylesheet.css">). Unless STS put something very strange in its code, where it's expecting you to provide some sort of "absolute path" such as $catalog . '/includes/sts_templates/...' and you gave "/" for $catalog instead of the proper ""? I don't use STS myself, so I can't say anything definite about what might be happening. All I can suggest is looking for the PHP code that inserts that <link> tag and seeing how it's building the href address. That should give a hint as to what it's expecting for any configuration variables. As for the <base> tag, it's combining either HTTP_SERVER or HTTPS_SERVER (depending on whether the page is under SSL) with DIR_WS_CATALOG. HTTP_SERVER should be 'http://www.mystore.com' and DIR_WS_CATALOG should be '/catalog/' or '/'. By any chance did you edit configure.php to change '/catalog/' to '//' instead of '/'? That might also account for the <link> tag problem.
Guest Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Hi Phil Thanks for your reply. As far as i know i didn´t change anything to get the // thing , i actualy don´t even know how i should do that to be honnest. I was pointed out that it was not right by somebody else but i have no idea on how to resolve it. I have been looking at about every file in osCommerce to see were it comes from but it starts to look like chinese to me.... What part of configure.php would be the thing that could change this? Gr, Rob
Guest Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Hi Phil I thought it might be a good idea to put the code from that file here , maybe you can see what is going wrong here. Guest Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Hi I just found out that there is a configure.php too!!! As far as i know i did not change anything in here. That one looks like this: osCommerce, Open Source E-Commerce Solutions http://www.oscommerce.com Copyright (c) 2003 osCommerce Released under the GNU General Public License */ // Define the webserver and path parameters // * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical) // * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL) define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.myshop.com'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'http://www.myshop.com'); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('ENABLE_SSL', 'false'); // secure webserver for checkout procedure? define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.myshop.com'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.myshop.com'); define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '//'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '//'); define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '//'); define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '//'); define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/'); define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . Guest Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 @ Phil and Paul THANKS VERY MUCH!!!!!!! It took me a bit before i understood what you meanth and before i found out were to look but , SUCCES!!! I changed the "DIR_WS_HTTP(S)_CATALOG " from // to / and that took care of the base href and catalog having a //. I have no idea why it had the double // but it seems to be solved now. Thanks very much for your time and advice. Gr, Rob
