Tracking preeordered products?

My customers can pree order som articles in my shop that will be in stock within some days or weeks.

 

How do i keep track of them without forgetting them? And how do i quickly know how many products and attributes of each and every product that is preordered? I dont have any contribution , i just let customers buy them and when they are in stock i shipp them.

 

Today i have to click the orders one by one to see exactly what product they wait for,isnt there any better solution of this?

 

(i dont want to loose the ability for customers to preeorder incomming products) :P

Hi,

 

The way I deal wit this is I set the order status to something like "Deposit Received" or "Back Order" or "Part Shipped" then I use a contribution called Orderlist Here which can display all orders with a certain status and what the order comprises of etc. I was having the same problems of having to open every order - but orderlist solved this for me.
