Product Attributes

Hopefully, I am posting in the correct forum. I apologize if I am not.

We are working on a client website and the client is a wildlife photographer. We have been looking through all of the forums dealing with product attributes to see if we could find out how to do the following:

The client sells prints with and without matts and frames. We wanted to set up the attributes with all of the different choices, and have no problem with doing that.

What we want to do is: When the customer clicks on a specific choice, such as 11 x 20 with matt and frame, that the matt and frame surround the photo so the customer can see what the print will look like with that matt and frame. If they don't like that option, then click on another to see what that second option looks like, and so forth. Once they find what they like, then they go to checkout. There are only 6 matts and 2 frames we would use. Anything else is customized and they contact the seller.

We have seen where there are "zoom" capabilities, such as on Amazon and Sears, and we wanted to do the same with the frames and matts option "show and tell" - type.

I've looked at a number of add-ons, but couldn't find one that does this. Since we are not dedicated PHP writers, we need to find something we can add in for v2.2.

Anyone have any ideas?

Did something vaguely similar ; www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9ETK91Qne8&feature=player_embedded

This is 1 image of a tshirt, that is transparent other than the outline. I then use javascript fired by the option to change the background colour of the holder so that the transparency and the colour make the image suitable. You need pretty much the inverse. An image surrounded by the frame, and matt - where the frame and matt change.

Anyway, what you want is more javascript skills than php skills.

There is a few "options as images" bits and pieces which can probably be utilised in some way ; http://tinyurl.com/23g7zjw
