The e-commerce.

Hi there,

I basically need a shipping add on that allows me to calculate the weight / dimensions for each item based on location.

For example; We are a car parts wholesaler that is dealing direct to the public now.

We are selling car parts over our oscommerce shop.

As you can imagine, we have more than 1 courier that we use which calculate their costs differently.

So essentially I need to be able to calculate items by their weight and dimensions and also calculate the costs based on their location.

For each state in Australia will have a different price depending on their location.

I hope I am making sense, please feel free to ask any questions.

I hope their is a module that can help here, or if someone can help me find something that will be able to do this.

Cheers,

Jason.

Jason,

When creating your products, simply enter the dimensional weight into the weight field and base your shipping on that weight with your tables.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for getting back to me.

What about setting different prices for different states, based on their weight?

Cheers,

Jason.

Jason,

You can set multiple tables and shipping zones and change the prices accordingly.

Thanks Chris. Really appreciate it.

Ok that brings me to my next question;

We use more than 1 courier company that will have different prices for different dimensions.

Can we also incorporate by dimension also?

For example;

So what happens to large items like front bumper bars for example that are big in size but weight only 2 to 3 kgs?

And when you say weight and multiple tables, can you give me an example please.

Your help is very much appreciated it.

Cheers,

Jase.
