b2995 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 When a customer is browsing and adds items to the cart, an order record is created... If they leave the site but come back later, and alter their order, it creates an additional order instead of updating the current one leaving me to manually clean up the records that aren't real orders. Is there a way to stop this? Is this a default of OSC or do I have some weird setting somewhere? Can someone tell me where I should look to stop this? Thank you! :)
Guest Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Tammy, Orders should not be recorded until the customer checks out. If you are getting pre-check out orders than there is a problem with your checkout process. Chris

Thank you! :) Or, they are paypal orders where the customer did not complete the payment process. There are numerous threads about paypal orders. They are recorded when the customer leaves to the paypal site so the info is not lost. if your orders are set to this status: Preparing [PayPal Standard] That would be normal and you will need to delete them.
