hardknock Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I am not sure but I have tried to google this one to no avail. Therefore, I must ask. I am seeing some strange occurrences with my OScommerce setup. During the first month, when I deleted a product which I no longer wanted to carry, it would stay deleted. Now, when I delete a product, within 48 hours, the product reappears in the database and in the admin panel, as well as on the site with a 0 on hand and 0 price as if it was refreshed or as if it was a newly added product. Some things to note, I have a data feed that is updated daily from the drop shipper and uploaded automatically to my back-end. I thought this was the issue, however, when I first launched the site, I could delete any product and it would stay permanently deleted. The only answer that I can see is that I may have still been in a beta run during my first month (hence the permi deleted items) and the drop shipper has JUST NOW started to actively refresh my database(hence the recurrence of deleted products). Puzzling!!! Has anyone had this issue before? Thanks,
satish Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 As you are using drop shipper data to populate so data base analysis is needed. you delete that product take db backup. Again after the drop ship script is excuted take db backup and analyse. Satish Ask/Skype for Free osCommerce value addon/SEO suggestion tips for your site. hardknock Posted September 18, 2010 Author Posted September 18, 2010 Hmmm So are you saying to reload the db backup after the drop shipper script is executed?
satish Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Hmmm So are you saying to reload the db backup after the drop shipper script is executed? What I am saying is that analysis is needed. As this is not a oscommerce code thats populating your db there is a probability that the external feed is uploading those products. So unless you look at data base and confirm you will not be able to make out where the bug is. Satish Ask/Skype for Free osCommerce value addon/SEO suggestion tips for your site.
