In short, I've been hacked, some Chineese Mattress Store has taken over my categories box which lists only "mattress" and links to their store. Can someone PLEASE help me? I need to get rid of this so I can start adding my own categories! Any help is greatly appreciated! Jesse PS Domain affected is misswillies.com/catalog

Jesse PS Domain affected is misswillies.com/catalog Since this is your first and it's new then the best way to recover from this is to simply wipe the site clean and start over. This time, follow these steps in this order. After cleaning out the site, completely, password protect the root directory so that only you have access to your site. Install osCommerce. Read the topic 'How to Secure my Site' in the Security forum. Apply all the security patches to protect your site. Then, and only then, remove the password protection on your root directory. ♥geoffreywalton Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I see you have reload the data but if you have been hacked you have to clean the infection and put all the recommended security patches in place. As your admin directory is still called admin you are wide open and will get hacked again. Check my profile for some mandatory and recommended security amendments that must be done. Mark Evans Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 If the only part of your site that is affected is the categories box then in all likely you haven't been hacked you've just enabled the cache put haven't changed the default folder to be one within your site.
