vcoop Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Hi - This is going to seem a very dumb question to anyone who's in the know. I've finshed designing my site, have paypal installed and think i'm ready to go live. But i have one very stupid question that i can't find the answer to. My site is currently www.jamm.fr/catalog - whats the process to set this to www.jamm.fr the domain name. Any help will be gratefully received - thanks
Guest Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Victoria, Refer to this thread: Rewrite Conditions Chris
vcoop Posted September 14, 2010 Author Posted September 14, 2010 Hi Chris, Im sure this is my error, but this doesn't seem to work. Have you any other ideas? I searched the forum and can't see any other links, Thanks
Guest Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Victoria, Placing rewrite conditions in the .htaccess file of an apache server does work. If you are running on a IIs server then NO it will not work. The only other options I can suggest are pointing your domain name to the catalog folder from your domain manager OR downloading the catalog folder to your local machine and then uploading it back into the root directory. This method is more time consuming but it works on both Linux and IIs hosting without fail. If you choose to move to the root directory, ensure you also update the 2 configure.php files to reflect the new path. Chris
