Guest Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I've just read with interest the blog post from last month announcing the imminent release of V2.3. I've been building my store with V2.2a and have added a lot of recommended security add ons. I'm wondering how much upgrading to 2.3 might affect my store though. Will it be straight forward to upgrade or are there likely to be changes which will affect my store as it has add ons. Would it be better to start from scratch again (fortunately it's not live yet)? Does anyone have any ideas?
Guest Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Dali, The jump from Rc2a to 2.3 won't be that difficult. The database structure is the same but there will be some code edits, many of which you more than likely have already done if you followed the security threads. I currently use V2.3 (RC2a patched referencing GITHUB) for all my stores. Chris
firstbizsoft Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Hi, are the contributions compatible with the last version of oscommerce?
Guest Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Costel, I believe that the current contributions for 2.2 RC2a will be (mostly)compatible with the v2.3 release. Chris
firstbizsoft Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Thanks Chris, thats right. Have now the osc rc3 with the 10 contributions installed!
