The e-commerce.

FTP client breaks my images

Recommended Posts

everytime i put a new template on my server, using Flilzilla, the images corrupt.

for eg, i try to put on Oscommerce v3 on my server. I use FTP client to transfer all the files. The files all do transfer and pages load up etc etc. The problem is, ALL the images do not display properly. They are in the correct folder because i have not touched them, but they do not display. My hosting people said that when they try to download the images and view them, they would not work and they seem corrupt. If i upload the images via my host cpanel directly, all images show up.

So i need some sort of FTP client that does not tamper with my images.

anyone know anythign abotu this issue?

First of all, you should not be using V3.0. It is not stable.

Secondly, Use an FTP program that auto-switches between ASCII and BINARY formats. Your images have to transferred in BINARY and the PHP files must be transferred in BINARY. (FILEZILLA auto switches)
