shargraves Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Hi All, I am a total newbie at Oscommerce (indeed ALL e-commerce sites) but am doing one that sells curtains - and I need a solution to a problem, in that I want ot be able to calculate the price using the following method: Width in mm height in mm Type of curtain Colour Etc I see that some parameters such as quantity etc, are inbuilt, but I have trawled forums for the past few days looking for a module that does this, but I haven't seen a straightforward solution, as the product cost doesn't exist until they enter those parameters! Can anyone point me in the right direction? Many thanks!
web-project Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 it can be done, but you will need to modify the product table and add for every product the detentions, based on detention of the product your module can calculate the cost of shipping. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.
