AR_1986 Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Hi everyone, just got my emails working great with the site so when a customer places an order they receive an email. My question is how can i adjust what the email title says in its subject, at the moment i can see customers receive an email from ' My Company' which states 'Order Process' in the subject. I would like to change the email subject to say 'Order confirmation'. How would i go about doing that? Many thanks.

NodsDorf Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Thanks but i have no idea how to use add ons. I wouldnt even know what to do with the files. Is there no other way? Hi Sarah, Most add-ons will have instructions with them. Fimble recommended this add-on because it specifically tells you how to manually edit the subject line in the instructions. If you have made no modifications to your shop you can simple overwrite your store files with these add-on files, then go to catalog/includes/languages/english/checkout_process.php to display the desired text. Oscommerce is a great easy setup store, but modifying it requires following instructions in add-ons, and some general computer skills like how to use FTP programs and code editing programs. If you don't have the patience or understanding to look at add-on instructions then you may find oscommerce hard to use. In such case, hiring a programmer maybe the only option.
