shmerek
Hello, How would I go about getting my product listings to look something like this?: Basically I need to be able to have more information in the product listings because many of the products have the same title. They will be opera recordings so the differences will be in the listing of the cast members, conductors etc not the title. I might have 50-60 products with the same title. (La Traviata, Aida blah blah) I was hoping that Description in Product Listing Hack v.2 would do the job but I cannot get it working, I keep getting errors such as these: Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /Users/sh**/Sites/catalog/includes/functions/general.php on line 1108 Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tep_parse_category_path() in /Users/sh**/Sites/catalog/includes/application_top.php on line 434 and this Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /Users/sh**/Sites/catalog/includes/functions/general.php on line 1108 I searched the forums and still haven't found a way to correct the problem. So does anybody know of another way to get my desired result or of a way to get the Description hack working? If it matters I am using a mac running OS 10.2 Thanks
Guest
You should be able to add any html tags into product description page and that means you can do everything under the sun with them. Just my 2c. Jan
shmerek
The thing I want is when somebody goes into a subcategory and looks at the titles they will be able to see a descrition (ie cast list) as well. Right now all I can have is the product name, model number, and price.

Guest
The best way, is to create exactly what you want for the description, in your favorite html editor (Notepad, FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), copy the code, and then paste it into the description box when you create the product listing. This way, you can dispaly anything you want including the cast list, set out in any format you want.
shmerek
Thanks for the replies but I guess my question isn't clear enough. I know that I can make the product description look however I want but what I need if for the text from the product descrition to appear when you go to a category listing and you can see a whole bunch of products. Some thing like the Description_in_Product_Listing_v.2 mod does. (I can't get it to work) Hmmm.. here is a mock up of what I want. Any ideas?
