Shipping Questions

Hi there,

Thanks for looking, I'm stuck on adding individual shipping prices to my products. I understand the contributions are out there for it, I've tried installing them but I am having no luck, I've managed to install a multiple image add-on for my store and it messes up the parts im supposed to edit for any individual shipping add on I can find.

I have about 500 products to list on my store and I don't want to start editing them to have to go back and change the shipping so I am urgently trying to get it sorted, basically I have 3 different shipping prices, £3.50, £7 and £12.50 (some are free) and I don't know how to get oscommerce in any way shape or form to add this to the products.

Please can anybody help me???? Sorry if I should have put this in a different section, I've tried looking everywhere for solutions for this and can't find one what I can work with! :(

Thanks a lot,

Mark

you can use table rate, either by price or weight, you can set your order total to also give free shipping over a certain amount spent

Hi,

Can I use something to add individual product shipping prices? I understand the table module, but some of my products are below a price what cost more with shipping, vice versa, and also the free shipping is just on specific products nothing to do with price

Thanks for help

I'd use individual product shipping methods add-on. That is...if there is no common weight or value based way of deciding on the shipping.

Create four shipping methods. One for flat rate free, and the others with flat rate at each amount. When you add a product you simply select which rate you want the product shipped at and osC will only off that one rate. But, if you do not make a selection it will offer them all and they will choose the least expensive, free.

Modify easy populate script and create a spread sheet and upload.

This will be the fastest way to do.

The individual product shipping method is what I've been trying to use but I am having problems installing it as I've got the multi image add on and some of the parts to install are different, getting a tad too confusing for me :(

That's what I was set on originally! Really would like that to get that on the go...

How do I create 4 instances of that 'flat rate' option?

Satish would this help with the shipping problem?? Seems like a good way to upload a lot of products though!!

Thank u both for help, much appreciated

I figured it out! I used the information contained in the "Multiple Shipping Rates" add-on to create a modified version of the "flat.php" file in the following folders:

/catalog/includes/modules/shipping/flat.php

/catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/flat.php

renaming it to "priority.php" and replacing every instance of "flat", "Flat", or "FLAT", with "priority", "Priority", or "PRIORITY".

I changed the titles and descriptions as required in the priority.php file in the "..english/modules/shipping" folder. Works great!
