simply move the files and update the configure.php files, don't forget to load mysql database using phpmyadmin utility.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

Jorge, I am a semi newbie but let me offer this. Did you see if your host has an install utility that will set up osC for you? That will save you a lot of work with having to configure your files, etc. If you try to do this manually it will be quite a task for someone new to osC and all the configuration necessary to make your osC shop workable.

Good luck.

I am not a professional webmaster or PHP coder by background or training but I will try to help as best I can.

I remember what it was like when I first started with osC. It can be overwhelming.

However, I strongly recommend considering hiring a professional for extensive site modifications, site cleaning, etc.

There are several good pros here on osCommerce. Look around, you'll figure out who they are.

Jorge, this link should get you started. Once you get the basic store set up then you need to read and follow these security steps ASAP.

It's a lot of reading but worth the investment. Good luck.

thanks i'll give it a look to those both files.. thing is i already know how to install oscommerce on server(the test site) and also on localhost. I already finished my site with all the changes(all settings, colours links pics products all is ready to work, but on localhost only) so the thing i want is to move that site into the server i even have the data base created with the oscommerce test site, tried to replace it but of course doesnt work.... thats its pretty much about it :) thanks a lot for your help, gonna check that out anyways.

OK, maybe there's more to this that I am aware at my level of skill, but if it were me first I'd double check my database connections settings in the configure files, then if those were correct I'd go to my host support to see what they say. If both those failed, I be right back here asking for help. :)

Hope you get that figured out.

Glad that worked out. Here's another link on osC workings.

I have found those type changes are done in the languages files located: /includes/languages/. I think the one you want to change is /includes/languages/english/create_account_success.php

Good luck!
