Installing quantity price break

I am trying to install - Quantity Price Breaks Per Product (QPBPP)Written by: Yak, pbor1234. I am very new to oscommerce, but have installed some add ons. I understand about replace older files with the new program files and even add new files all together. What I'm confused about is the first thing "Update your database structure by processing the sql statements in "price_break.sql". I have no idea what that is or means. I know in the qpbpp folder that I unzipped there is a word document that says price_break SQL file. Can any one explain this or do all I need to do is add and replace the new files and the sql means nothing?

open the SQl file and copy it to your clipboard. Then, log into your database control manager and open your store database using phpmyadmin. At the top you will see a SQL tab. Click that and a window opens. Paste the SQL file into that window and click go.

 

 

This will update the database to work with the contribution.

 

BACK UP YOUR DATABASE BEFORE DOING THIS !
