jhande Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 I only sell to customers in the USA. The country selection has been removed from the create account page. But everywhere in the site it still adds the country - "United States of America". Is there an easy way to remove just the country from all pages and correspondence? - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
FIMBLE Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 where abouts Jim? You mean the account edit pages and checkout etc... Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
jhande Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 Yes Nic, such pages as: Catalog side account.php account_history_info.php address_book.php checkout_shipping.php checkout_payment.php checkout_confirmation.php Admin side Customers > Orders > Edit = orders.php (Customer, Shipping Address, Billing Address) invoice.php (Sold To, Ship To) packingslip.php (Sold To, Ship To) Not sure if I missed any. I was wondering if there was a way to remove the country maybe from it's origin? It seems that most of the pages are just calling for - tep_address_format - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -

There is table named countries in osCommerce. If you remove other countries from that table using mysql script or manually that will sort it out. burt Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Jim, remove $country from the address_format and address_summary rows in the address_format table, using phpmyadmin.
jhande Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 Thank you! I will give that a try soon. I was going nuts trying to edit the functions\general.php files. - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
♥Monika in Germany Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 editing the table will help with the outputted complete address labels ... it will not remove the country info from the entry forms. neither from the form validation areas ... so the answer is: there is no supereasy way, some manual work is needed ;-) :-) Monika addicted to writing code ... can't get enough of databases either, LOL! my toolbox: Textpad - Compare and Merge - phpMyAdmin - WS_FTP - Photoshop - How to search the forum Interactive Media Award July 2007 ~ category E-Commerce my advice on the forum is for free, PMs where you send me work are considered consultation which I charge for ...
