Guest Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Community please help a non technical person get their website (informational only) up and getting hits. Here is the link www.Valleypromos.com. Do I need an add-on for SEO? How do I get that and properly add it on? Thoughts? Suggestions?
Guest Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Pat, Even if a search engine did index your site, there is NOTHING to post on the search. You will need to add products and complete the layout. Then look at meta tags...... http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7199 SEO URLs http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5851 Download those contributions and read the installation instructions carefully before attempting the install. JUST BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE INSTALLATION......BACK UP YOUR FILES AND DATABASE ! Chris
germ Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 You probably should visit the "Security" part of the forum and read the "How to Secure Your Site" topic. I'd say site security has been compromised. If you look at the g00gle cache of your site there are "invisble" spam links at the end of the page source. It might have something to do with the (13) PHP files in your /images folder. Having PHP file in the images folder isn't "normal" for most sites. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
