roiphil Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Hi Is their any way to install a dropdown box where the customer can select multiple items from, for example on my site i sell polythene tunnels and sometimes i would like to offer so many packets of seeds for free with the tunnel, but what i am looking for is a dropdown box with all the seed varities listed where the buyer can select what packets they would like i.e DROPDOWN BOX seed 1 seed 2 seed 3 seed 4 seed 5 For example customer would then select a packet of seed 1 and seed 2 from the same dropdown box in one go, which would then show up on the order email, hope this all makes sense, i have tried in product attributes but it only allows 1 item each time per dropdown box Thanks in advance for any help Phil
Guest Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Philip, You can use attributes to offer the selections. Set up would be Your first selection: seed 1 seed 2 seed 3 Your Second Selection: seed 1 seed 2 seed 3 Chris

I was looking for exactly the same thing, and I figured it out. Go to your "admin". Click on "catalog", then "products attributes". It is intimidating at first, but don't panic. It will probably still be set up for the default (color, size, model, etc) In "Product Options", edit "color" and change it to "your first selection". Or use step 7 to insert a new one. In "Option values", in step 17 use the pulldown to find "your first selection" from above. Insert "seed1". Again for "seed2". Etc. In "Products Attributes", find your product (polythene tunnels?), then "your first selection", then "seed1", and set it to "yes". ...then "no"... ...then "seed2" and "yes"... "seed2" and "no"... etc... I think you can figure it out from there. I'm still a little fuzzy, but I'm experimenting with it. Example: http://<yourURL>/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=2 shows their default drop-downs! Good luck. I hope this helps. http://squidbutt.info/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=2
satish Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 As far as My knowledge goes such a module does not exist for oscommerce. If you modify code this is possible. I recommend use of checkbox rather then drop downs in this case. Satish Ask/Skype for Free osCommerce value addon/SEO suggestion tips for your site.
