Guest Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Firstly, thanks for any help I have done a forum search first and did not find the answer. I am going to set up a shop for a photographer where a customer will login and order photos for their own event (wedding, child's photos etc.) I obviously do not want customers to easily see products that do not apply to them (other people's weddings etc.) Can you set the shop so that a customer can login and see one category (I may have to give each customer a product category for this) so go straight to their own photos for purchase?
Guest Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Louis, Using a combination of contributions you can accomplish this. You would need SPPC (Separate Price Per Customer) and SHP (Simply Hide Products) for SPPC Once installed, you can create a private group for the customer, and allow only that customer group to see the images. Other customers would not be able to see the images or the prices of other customers packages. Chris
lindsayanng Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I have already done this.. an entire website for a photorgapher My link Took me two years to finally get it right.. You don't need SPPC or anything fancy to block the products.. just a simple password protection option.. Guest Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Hey Lindsay, I am curious how you would define access using a password protection option. Can you explain ? Chris ps. I also noticed a ton of Internal Server Errors on the links at the bottom. Is the site still in development ?
lindsayanng Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 that site is done.. Got busy and never finished the bottom links because re built the whole site which changed the links around.. but in general the site works 100% as far as password, click on a category on the left and try and see an image in the weddings folder.. you will see a request for the password A great place for newbies to start Road Map to oscommerce File Structure DO NOT PM ME FOR HELP.
