mirza_yasir4 Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 There is a functionality in Os-commerce of copying product. That is sub-categorized into 2 more options Link product Duplicate product That let's us keep a product in multiple categories. My question is, Is there a way to copy (link or duplicate) a whole category (including all its products) to another category. Or Is there a way we can show a full category into another page. This becomes useful when we have a smartphone HTC HD and it has 10 Accessories (like charger, headphone, leather case and silicon case). And these 10 Accessories also work with another smartphone HTC Diamond2. Now instead of copying all accessories one by one from HTC HD2 list to HTC Diamond2 list, I just link HTC HD2 Accessory list to HTC Diamond2 Accessory list. It will save a lot of our time when we have multiple different phones supporting same accessories. Can anyone suggest a solution in the form of Addon or code implementation. I'll be thankful. Guest Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Yasir, No, there is currently no way of copying whole categories to another category. This would be an SEO nightmare as well. However, you should consider one of the x-sell contributions which allows you to put the 'accessories' and other products related to the main product onto the product information page. http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/1415 http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/2293 http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5347 Chris
