vjboc Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 How do I update my datafeed? I added new products to my shop and it's been a long time since I did anything with the datafeed. I had the cron update it for a long time ,then our site got hacked. Then I deleted the cron code. I still have the feed, All the products are live at google base. I changed a few descriptions and products. Any help would be appreciated.
Jack_mcs Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 It depends on which google feeder contribution as well as its version. If yours hasn't been updated in a while, you probably should do that since rules at google have changed. Once the code is working, you can run it manually (how depends on which you have installed) but you should setup the cron job again so it is automatic. My host isn't set up to run Cron Jobs from code, so I use this one. It's a simple install, and uploads automatically using .htaccess to make that happen. Good luck! I am not a professional webmaster or PHP coder by background or training but I will try to help as best I can. I remember what it was like when I first started with osC. It can be overwhelming. However, I strongly recommend considering hiring a professional for extensive site modifications, site cleaning, etc. There are several good pros here on osCommerce. Look around, you'll figure out who they are.

vjboc Posted August 18, 2010 Author Posted August 18, 2010 I checked out that contribution. I am set up with google base already and all my products are uploaded to google automatically. I change some products and descriptions on my site and I want to add them to my feed. My feed is public_html/feeds/swd.txt How do I add my new products to that feed?
