Double URL after submitting login / signup and password forgotten forms

Hi all

An over-enthusiastic youngster managed to wreck our install 2.2, which had run very nicely for 2.5 years! I've managed to get pretty much everything back except one thing.....

When account related forms are submitted from the front end the page returned is along a 'duplicated' format of:

http://www.mystore.com/catalog/http://www.mystore.com/catalog/password_forgotten.php?action=process

I'd really appreciate any pointers as to where to start looking to eradicate this.

Thanks in anticipation!

I would expect this to be a configure.php file thing, however if someone has been playing it could well have been hard coded thus giving you the double url, try a search of the affected pages with the URL string to ascertain if it resides there or not, also and firstly check your configure files.

The config files are fine - they weren't changed at all - it was the first thing I checked. I did have to sort some issues with the html_output.php file in catalog->includes->functions that had been messed up. I wonder if I missed any other signs of tinkering in there?

Thanks

This issue is now resolved. The 'enthusiast' had messed the html_output.php file more than I thought. Restored an original, suitably edited to account for a couple of mods the store has had over the last couple of years, and we are all working again.
