Guest Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Hi all, im sorry if this is a common question. whilst checking who's online for the last week i have seen the same ip again and again. 67.195.112.109 they will fill up their shopping cart but not purchase.is this a spy bot ? i realise i need to be much more security Conscious, i presumed that i just paid my web designer and i would be problem free but after looking at the amount of people being hacked i know otherwise.please can you tell me if im at risk of exposing customers details and any steps to resolve would be much appreciated. cheers.
germ Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 It's one of the Yahoo! crawlers. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. Guest Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Dale, The IP is registered to hitfarm(dot)com and seems to be a bot. However, it if is adding items to the cart then it is not a very good bot. You may want to add it to your robots.txt and update your spiders.txt files. If security is a concern, then you should also read these threads: Admin Security Site Security Chris
