GreenGardenGuy Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I went through the contributions and found UPS shipping and downloaded it. Upon opening the file I found "ups.php" and two text files telling about how and why it was made and what it does. Why are there no instructions to install it? So I came here to the forums, I have spent over an hour searching for install instructions to no avail. Everyone that uses OsCommerce is going to have to learn how to do this, so where does everyone find this info? I don't even know for sure if I have the right contribution file. I just need basic UPS shipping and instructions on how to install it. Anybody?
Guest Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Hi Gary, If you only received one file, then you more than likely downloaded a revised ups.php file from the contribution area. If you look on the list, there should be some that say FULL PACKAGE. That is what you need to install first, then the updates. Welcome to the forum. Chris

Or do they normally come with instructions? Is there an easy way to search through the contributions?
Guest Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Hi Gary, Yes, contributions usually come with installation instructions, that's why I believe you only downloaded an update. You can search contributions using the search field in the add on area. It isn't the best search engine, but it will narrow it down for you anyway . Chris
GreenGardenGuy Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 Typed "UPS" into the search box, got 10 pages of results. I read through each and every one without finding a "full install". Typed "UPS shipping" into the search box, got 3 pages, etc..... Can someone post a link to the UPS module I need please? My blood pressure is rising, I need to go relax for a few. I would really, seriously, appreciate ANY help with this. Thanks!
Guest Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Gary, Try this one: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/528 Use the latest by Geoffreywalton Chris
GreenGardenGuy Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 Thank you kind sir. That looks to be exactly what I need. Even has pretty detailed instructions. I would have missed it, it doesn't say "full install" either. Thanks!
